Job Description
• $60–$120 per hour equivalent, paid per accepted task
• 100% remote
• Part-time
• About 15 hours a week, you choose when
Work flexibly on part-time projects that turn real physiological signals into challenging problems and reference solutions for AI training.
AI systems that work with biomedical data learn from examples prepared by people with real signal processing skill. The teams building them need biomedical signal processing and machine learning practitioners who can turn ECG, EEG and other physiological recordings into self-contained problems, solve them in code, and check that each solution can be reproduced. Your problems and solutions become technical training data for these systems. This is remote, part-time contractor work applying your biomedical signal processing expertise to AI training.
What you'll do
• Build challenging, self-contained problems from real physiological recordings and time-series data
• Design signal tasks that span preprocessing and filtering, segmentation, feature extraction, representation learning, classification and forecasting
• Write reproducible reference solutions using Python, MATLAB or another scientific computing tool
• Validate each method, confirm that another person can reproduce the result, and deliver work to the project specifications
Why this is worth your time
• Earn the equivalent of $60–$120 an hour while building signal processing problems and reference solutions for AI training
• Work with real ECG, EEG, PPG, EMG, respiratory and sleep recordings, turning them into technical training data for AI systems
• Apply your signal processing and machine learning judgment to tasks with clear, checkable solutions
• Fully remote and flexible, no fixed shifts, no commute
Who this is for
• Experience taking part in a PhysioNet/CinC Challenge or a comparable competition in biomedical signal processing or scientific machine learning
• A strong personal technical contribution you can show publicly, such as a team result, a paper, a repository, a technical report or a meaningful code contribution
• Hands-on work with clinical time-series data such as ECG, EEG, PPG, EMG, respiratory signals or polysomnography
• Proficiency in Python, MATLAB or another scientific computing language
• Fluent in English
• No experience in AI training work needed.
Pay and details
• $60–$120 per hour equivalent; pay is per accepted task, as an independent contractor
• Part-time, flexible schedule; fully remote, United States
