Job Summary We are seeking an experienced GenAI Engineer to design, develop, and deploy AI/ML solutions that deliver measurable value across smart building products and platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong software engineering experience, hands-on ML/GenAI expertise, and the ability to work across cloud, edge, and on-premises environments. This role will also help accelerate AI adoption across the broader engineering organization. Key Responsibilities Pillar 1: Build AI-Powered Products Design, build, and deploy AI/ML models and GenAI capabilities across cloud, edge, and on-premises environments. Develop LLM-powered solutions, including: Operator copilots Intelligent alarm analysis Automated recommendations Natural language interfaces Integrate AI capabilities into existing smart building products and platforms. Develop scalable inference and deployment architectures for production AI workloads. Partner with software engineering and product teams to translate business requirements into AI-enabled solutions. Monitor, evaluate, and continuously improve model performance, reliability, and accuracy. Pillar 2: Accelerate Team Capability & Velocity Act as an AI advocate and technical leader across the engineering organization. Identify and implement AI-assisted developer tools to improve software delivery velocity. Leverage AI for code generation, software testing, code reviews, and CI/CD workflows. Establish AI engineering best practices, standards, and governance. Mentor engineers on AI technologies, frameworks, and implementation strategies. Evaluate emerging AI tools and technologies and recommend opportunities for adoption. Drive responsible and practical use of AI throughout the software development lifecycle. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or a related technical field. 7+ years of software engineering experience with a strong foundation in modern development practices. 5+ years of hands-on experience developing and deploying machine learning solutions. Strong experience with Python and AI/ML frameworks such as: PyTorch TensorFlow Scikit-learn Experience building and integrating Generative AI and Large Language Model (LLM) solutions. Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform. Strong understanding of: Software architecture APIs Data pipelines Production deployment practices Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG). Experience with vector databases and prompt engineering. Experience deploying AI solutions in edge or IoT environments. Knowledge of MLOps, model monitoring, and AI governance. Familiarity with Building Automation Systems (BAS), industrial controls, IoT, or smart building technologies. Experience working with Agile/Scrum development teams.
